Ranbir-Alia's 'Brahmastra' sets record before release, makes its place in Walt Disney Calendar. Know Deets.

The Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer 'Brahmastra Part One: Shiva' is one of the most awaited films of 2022. The film which has been struggling to set down a release date amid pandemic will be hitting theaters in September 2022. But ahead of the big release, the Ayan Mukerji directorial has already etched its name in the history.  It has become the first film in Indian cinema to find a place in Walt Disney Studio Pictures' global release calendar.

Brahmastra in Walt Disney global calendar

Yes you heard that right. The 'Brahmastra' trilogy has now made its way to Walt Disney's global calendar which is generally dominated by the Marvel Studios' superhero films including 'Thor: Love and Thunder' and 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever' and James Cameron's Super Animation drama 'Avatar: The Way of Water'. 

Let us tell you that Brahmastra is the first Indian film which made its way into the big list. With this Brahmastra starring Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna Akkineni starrer will be released worldwide on 9 September 2022 in Hindi as well as Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam languages. It will also be released in the United States and Canada on the same day by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures.

About Film Brahmastra

It's worth noticing that 'Brahmastra' is the first planned fantasy adventure trilogy of Indian cinema. Directed by Ayan Mukharjee, the film is produced by Karan Johar under the banner of Dharma Productions. The film was announced on 11 October 2017 and has been in pipeline for more than 4 years due to the pandemic. 

Brahmastra Release Date

The film was created in the span of 5 Years and its release date has been changed many times over the years. First it was supposed to release on 15 August 2019, then it was decided to bring it on screen on Christmas 2019.

Later it was decided that 'Brahmastra' would be released in the summer of 2020. But due some work on VFX, the release date was again postponed and it was decided to release it on 4 December 2021. But now the final film is releasing on 9th September this year.
