On the occasion of 73rd Republic Day, PM Modi made his special appearance for the day in the Uttarakhandi cap which had the state flower Brahma Kamal embossed in it. PM further completed his look with a traditional stole from Manipur. While Prime Minister Modi usually wears a turban on Republic or Independence day, this year his Cap surely made into the big highlights.
Along with PM Modi, Minister of state for defense Ajay Bhatt was also spotted wearing the similar cap. Let us tell you that both Uttarakhan and Manipur will soon host their assembly elections.
Pushkar Singh Dhami, the current chief minister of Uttarakhand thanked PM Modi for representing their state’s heritage and tweeted, “Today, on the occasion of 73rd Republic Day, honorable Prime Minister Sri Narendra Modi has made the culture and tradition of our state proud by wearing the cap of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand, adorned with Brahma Kamal. On behalf of the 1.25 crore people of Uttarakhand, I express my heartfelt gratitude to the Honourable Prime Minister.”

Brahmakamal:
The flower engraved on the cap is the state flower of Uttarakhand and grows in abundance in the Himalayas. PM Modi also uses Brahmakamal whenever he does pooja at Kedarnath.
Leirum Phee:
Well, this is not the first time that PM Modi was seen in this store. Generally called as a Gamusa, Leirum Phee is a speciality from seven sisters Manipur.
