With a promised range of 120 kilometers, River Electric has introduced the Indie electric scooter to the Indian market. Compared to other typical scooters on the market, it has a unique design. Rivera Indie Electric Specifications

The River Indie is propelled by a 6.7kW (peak) mid-mounted motor linked to a belt drive. The e-peak scooter's torque output of 26Nm is touted to enable it to reach a top speed of 90 kmph. The e-scooter can go from 0 to 40 kilometers per hour in 3.9 seconds while using its three riding modes, Eco, Ride, and Rush. The motor is coupled with a 4kWh lithium-ion battery pack with a 120km real-world range. The battery can be charged from empty to 80% with a standard charger in five hours.

The River Indie includes two distinctively designed LED headlights, an LED tail light, and LED indicators. It boasts a sizable, USB-charged 12-liter lockable glove box, a 43-liter under-seat storage compartment, and a light-sensitive LCD instrument cluster. A second USB port is also located on the handlebar. Other notable features include a pair of rider footpegs, crash bars integrated into the apron, saddle stays, higher clip-on handlebars, hazard lights, and a side-stand motor cut-off mechanism.
