A horrific road accident took place in Bidar, Karnataka on Saturday morning. According to the information, 7 women were killed and 6 were injured in a collision between a truck and an auto rickshaw here. The incident took place near Bemalkheda village. The injured are said to be residents of Budamanahalli village. All the injured have been shifted to Bidar Hospital for treatment.
It is being told that all the women who died in the accident were laborers and were returning home by auto rickshaw after work. Meanwhile, an auto rickshaw collided with a truck near Barmalkheda Government School. The deceased have been identified as Parvati (40), Prabhavati (36), Gundamma (60), Yadamma (40), Jagamma (34), Iswaramma (55) and Rukmani Bai (60), police said.
Police said that the drivers of both the vehicles were also among the 11 injured in the accident. Two of the injured are in critical condition. He told that the accident took place near Bemalkheda village. The women laborers living in Budamanahalli village were returning to their homes after work. Police registered a case and it is being investigated.
