Security has been beefed up at the RSS headquarters in Nagpur, Maharashtra. The CISF is responsible for the security of the RSS headquarters premises, but in the outer premises, this responsibility rests with the City Police. Both the departments have geared up to deal with any incident. Let us inform you that it was reported that the Sangh Headquarters, Hedgewar Bhawan and RSS office-bearers are on the target of PFI.

The workers of PFI, through their sleeper cell, had informed about the reiki of the Sangh Headquarters, Hedgewar Bhawan and the movement of the Sangh. Due to the RSS headquarters being on target, the police commissioner was instructed to make full security arrangements after holding a meeting with the top officials.

Police Commissioner gives comment

Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar said that the nationwide action taken on the PFI and its workers has nothing to do with the decision to increase this security. Kumar said the RSS headquarters is an important category A establishment, which is of high priority in terms of security. He said that security audits of particular establishments are done on a regular basis.

The CP also said that apart from the RSS headquarters, security has been increased at all those places where there is a high probability of movement of people on special days. He also said that security has been increased everywhere, be it the Dragon Palace temple or the Deekshabhoomi.

Discussion with CISF

Teams in wedding dress have also been deployed to enhance police patrolling in the campus and to conduct round-the-clock surveillance in the premises. Instructions have been given to closely examine every person roaming in the premises in case of suspicion. Along with this, discussions have also been held with the officers of CISF. The Union Headquarters is on the primary list of the Police. Security of all important buildings including the Union Headquarters has been reviewed. Changes have been made as per the need and the police is ready to face any situation.
