Today, violent protests can be seen in many states, including Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. Protesters set fire to vehicles in many districts of Bihar. Protest at ludhiana railway station

Security tightened at Amritsar railway station

Amritsar railway station in Punjab has increased security to prevent any untoward incidents. Darminder Kalyan, a GRP inspector, stated that there was no violence here. Three trains have been cancelled; the rest are operating normally. The District Police, GRP, and RPF are all working together.
