Is Russia getting tired after months of war? Is Putin's army losing the war? Or more importantly, is Ukraine heading towards the end of the war? Nothing can be said for sure about this, but there are signs of it. On Wednesday, Russia ordered its forces to withdraw from Kherson, Ukraine's largest city. Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu himself gave this information on Wednesday. He said Russia has ordered troops to withdraw from the city of Kherson in southern Ukraine. Let us tell you that the Kherson region is one of four provinces of Ukraine, which Russian President Vladimir Putin has illegally occupied and later imposed Russian martial law there.

Why is the Russian army retreating?

"Start pulling out troops," Shoigu said during a meeting with Russian commander Sergei Surovikin in Ukraine. He said that he proposed a "difficult decision" to withdraw troops from Kherson and establish a security system on the left bank of the Dnieper River. It is believed that the reason for this is that Ukrainian forces have been advancing on this area for weeks, forcing the Russian army to retreat. There was fierce fighting and shelling in the villages and towns of Ukraine. There is pressure on both the armies to advance on different fronts.
