Sadhna Gupta, wife of Samajwadi Party patron Mulayam Singh Yadav, has passed away. She breathed her last breath on Saturday afternoon at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram. Mulayam Singh Yadav's wife Sandhna Gupta was suffering from a lung infection. She was undergoing treatment at Medanta Hospital in Gurugram. Husband Mulayam Singh also came to see her on Saturday. Sadhna Gupta was the mother-in-law of BJP leader Aparna Yadav and mother of Prateek Yadav.

SP express condolences

The official Twitter handle of SP tweeted on Saturday that the death of Mrs. Sadhna Yadav ji, wife of Samajwadi Party's patron Netaji (Mulayam Singh Yadav), is extremely sad. SP sources said that Mulayam Singh Yadav was in Delhi at the time of his wife's death and the body is being brought to Lucknow. He said that SP chief Akhilesh Yadav is looking after the arrangements and the funeral program will be decided soon. On receiving the news of Sadhna Gupta's death, senior party leaders and workers started reaching Mulayam Singh Yadav's house.

Expressing condolences, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath tweeted that the death of Sadhna ji, wife of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav ji, is extremely sad.My condolences are with the bereaved family members. Yogi said that Lord Shri Ram granted the departed soul a place at his feet and his family members the strength to bear this grief.Peace!

Who was Sadhna Gupta?

Sadhna Gupta was the second wife of Mulayam Singh Yadav. She was a resident of Vidhuna in Auraiya. She met Mulayam Singh Yadav for the first time in the year 1980. Sadhna Gupta was also married earlier. But she did not stay with her husband for long and they got divorced after four years. After which Sadhna Gupta and Mulayam Singh got married. Sadhna Gupta was 20 years younger than Mulayam Singh.
