Sahara Chief Subrata Roy's troubles increase, Patna High Court issues warrant

Sahara India chief Subrata Roy could not appear in the Patna High Court on Friday even though the court had ordered him to appear in any case. When Subrata Roy refused to come citing illness behind it, the court issued an arrest warrant. Not only this, the angry High Court has ordered the DGPs of Bihar, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh to arrest Subrata Rai. 

On Thursday, the High Court asked Subrata Roy's lawyer in a questioning tone, "Who is this Subrata Rai who cannot come to the court? They have to come to court, they have to see how people are upset here?”

More than 2 thousand people invested

lakhs of consumers have invested in various schemes of Sahara India Company. After depositing the money, when the period was over, the amount was not returned to them. More than two thousand people had filed an intervention petition in the Patna High Court regarding this. The court is strict in this matter regarding this.

Subrata Rai appealed to the High Court citing illness to allow him to appear in the court in a virtual way. It was said that his age was 74 years. The operation was done in January this year. For this reason, relief should be given from appearing physically.

Judges rejected the interim application

The Patna High Court has become strict on Subrata Roy, chairman of Sahara India, rejecting the interim application . The court had rejected the interim application filed by him on Thursday. During the hearing on Thursday in the case of non-refund of money to investors, Justice Sandeep Kumar ordered Subrata Roy to appear physically in the court on Friday.

According to the media report, Pratyush Kumar, the lawyer for the investors of Sahara, Justice Sandeep Kumar said that Subrata Roy is not older than the High Court. He has made a big mistake by not appearing in court today (Thursday).
