Section 144 in Noida and Ghaziabad after increasing cases of COVID-19

Corona Update Today | Section 144: Coronavirus cases are rapidly increasing in the country. In this situation, once again the restrictions are increased by the administration. The cases of corona are increasing continuously in Gautam Budh Nagar and Ghaziabad of Uttar Pradesh adjoining Delhi, which the administration has taken very seriously. 

 In view of this, Section 144 has been imposed in Gautam Buddha Nagar and Ghaziabad. Also, according to the Gautam Buddha Nagar Commissionerate, wearing masks in public places has been made mandatory. 

In Uttar Pradesh, 270 new cases of corona have been reported during the last 24 hours. 117 cases have been reported in Gautam Budh Nagar, 55 in Ghaziabad, 26 in Lucknow and 15 in Agra. Due to this, section 144 has been imposed in Ghaziabad and Gautam Budh Nagar. Section 144 has been implemented in Noida till May 31 and in Ghaziabad till June 10. Although during this time the schools will continue as before but the corona guidelines will be ensured in them.
At the same time, the cases of corona are increasing once again in Delhi, which has increased the concern in Noida. In the last 24 hours, 1,485 new cases of the corona were reported in Delhi. 

Guidelines Under Section 144

  • In a statement, the Gautam Budh Nagar Police Commissionerate said, "No one will be allowed to hold protests or hunger strikes without the permission of the higher authorities. Worship and prayers will also not be allowed in public places."

  • Along with this, the police said that during the examination in schools, social distancing will have to be followed properly according to the
    Covid-19 guidelines. 

At present, there are 19,500 active cases of corona in India. Active cases are now 0.04 percent of the total cases in the country.
