Shah Rukh Khan on Thursday reached The Mumbai Central Prison also known as Arthur Jail to meet his son Aryan Khan. Subsequently, Aryan’s lawyer is expected to file a plea on Thursday i.e 21 October itself in Bombay High Court. Earlier on Wednesday, the bail plea for Aryan was rejected by a special Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) court in Mumbai. The plea was rejected on the cite that Aryan was found indulging in ‘illicit drug activities on regular basis and he might commit a further offense if released. Soon after this decision, Aryan’s lawyers filed an application against NDPS court’s order in Bombay High Court which will be heard on Tuesday, 26th October.

Aryan Khan bail plea was rejected by NDPS

Let us tell you that NDPS rejected the bail plea of Aryan along with Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha. The court heard the bail petition of the three accused and rejected it on the grounds that the three are connected to the drugs. The NDPS even accepted NCB’s argument that they are connected with a large drug network.

The 21-page order by NDPS cited, “the case at hand, material placed on record reveals that there is incriminating material in the form of WhatsApp chats, etc which shows the nexus of the applicant / accused no. 1 with suppliers and peddlers.” The order further added that Aryan’s WhatsApp chats give reference to ‘bulk quantity’ and ‘hard drugs’. “There is prima facie material showing that accused No 1 was in contact with persons dealing in prohibited narcotic substances”.
