Everyday new revelations are happening in the Shraddha murder case. It is now learned that the blade with which the accused Aftab Poonawala had cut Shraddha's body was thrown in the bushes of DLF Phase-3 of Gurugram. This information has been given by the sources of Delhi Police.Delhi Police sources said that Aftab had also thrown the cleaver knife used to cut the body in a garbage dump in Mehrauli area. At the same time, a team of Delhi Police has so far searched twice in the forested area of Gurugram to search for blades and saws.
On November 18, the first day of the investigation, the Delhi Police team found some evidence from the bushes of Gurugram, which has been sent to the Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) for examination. In the investigation, the Delhi Police searched with a metal detector, but nothing was found there. Sources further said that the Delhi Police also took Aftab to the shop from where he bought the saw blade, which is 250 meters away from his house.
After the five-day police remand of Aftab was over, he was produced in the Saket court through video conferencing today. The police demanded extension of the remand, after which the court extended the remand for 4 days. Earlier, police had said that Aftab, who confessed to killing his live-in partner and dismembering her body into 35 pieces, was giving misleading answers to questions.
