A team of Mumbai Crime Branch, probing a letter threatening Bollywood actor Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan, went to Pune on Thursday. The police officer said that Siddhesh Hiraman Kamble alias Mahakal, who was part of Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi gang, was interrogated. Mahakal will also be questioned in the Sidhu Moosewala murder case.
According to sources, in the investigation, Mumbai Police has now come to know that Siddhesh Hiraman Kamble alias Mahakal and shooter Santosh Jadhav have no direct connection with the letter given to Salman Khan and they are not suspects in this case. However, Mumbai Police says that Mahakal is aware of the link included in this threatening letter. According to sources, continuous interrogation is going on in this case, but in the investigation, Mahakal has not made any disclosure about it so far.
Maharashtra Police said that Kamble, associated with Lawrence Vishnoi gang, was arrested by the Pune Police on Wednesday. On Thursday morning, Mumbai's deputy commissioner of police Sangram Singh Nishandar reached the Pune crime branch office and started the investigation, the official said. Kamble was questioned whether the Vishnoi gang had a hand in the letter written targeting actor Salman Khan and his father Salim Khan.
According to the report, Salman Khan was asked if he has any relation with gangsters Goldie Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi in any way? To this the actor said, 'I have no doubts about the threatening letter and nowadays I have no enmity with anyone. I have known Lawrence Bishnoi since the year 2018 because he threatened me. But I don't know who Goldie Brar is.
After the threat received by Salman Khan, his security has been tightened. Salman Khan is currently shooting for his next film 'Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali' in Hyderabad amidst police security. It is being said that for the shooting of this film, a grand set has been built in Hyderabad where there is a one month shooting schedule.
