A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court to hand over the investigation of the Sidhu Moosewala murder case to the CBI. This petition has been filed by BJP leader Jagjit Singh Milkha. It has been said in the petition that the Punjab government withdrew the security of 424 people without giving any valid reason.
In the petition of Jagjit Singh, who had contested the last assembly elections from Sardulgarh seat on a BJP ticket, it has also been said that the atmosphere of insecurity has increased in Punjab in the recent past. In such a situation, the Supreme Court should intervene in the matter.
Questions have been raised on the Punjab government in the petition. It is said that he not only removed the security of Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu alias Sidhu Moosewala , but also published it. Security was lifted on 28 May and Moosewala was killed on 29 May.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann met Sidhu Moosewala's family members on Friday and consoled them. During this he met the family for about an hour. Mann assures the family of building a stadium and cancer hospital in the name of Moosewala. Apart from this, he assured the family that the culprits would not be spared.
Bhagwant Mann told the family that Sidhu Moosewala did not belong to one caste, religion or one region. He was a legend. Not only in Punjab, people from all over the country liked him. He was like my younger brother. The family said that we want justice, then Mann said that the guilty will be in jail within a few days.
