Spice Jet plane caught fire as soon as it took off in Patna, had to make emergency landing

A big news is coming from Patna. An emergency landing of SpiceJet aircraft has been done at an airport here. There is news of a fire in the plane. This plane going to Delhi has landed at Patna Airport. There were 185 people on board this plane. According to the report so far, all the passengers aboard the plane are safe.

SpiceJet's aircraft number 723 was landed safely. The flight took off from Patna to Delhi. As soon as the plane took off, there was a technical fault in the engine of the aircraft. After this the plane caught fire. It is being said that all the 185 passengers present in the plane have been taken off safely.

Reason for fire 

According to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the engine-1 of the aircraft was shut down due to the collision of the bird, due to which the plane caught fire. Therefore, in case of emergency, the plane had to land at the airport. Thankfully, a safe landing took place and no one was injured. There were 185 passengers on board the plane.

The SpiceJet aircraft took off from Patna's Jaiprakash International Airport at around 12.10 pm on Sunday. According to residents around the airport, the plane caught fire immediately after taking off. In this incident, the passengers who got down from the plane who survived the incident told that the flight kept circling in the air for a long time and then the sound of rattling started coming. Then suddenly the lights of the plane started turning on and off. In between, darkness also began to cover. Seeing this scene, there was a cry among the passengers. Then the crew members consoled the passengers.

Ambulance and fire brigade reached the spot

According to the report, an ambulance has been deployed outside the airport, if needed, medical treatment can be given immediately. At present, efforts are on to extinguish the fire in the aircraft. Additional fire brigade vehicles have also been called at the airport.

At the same time, regarding this accident, Patna DM Chandrashekhar Singh said that as soon as the Patna-Delhi flight took off from the airport. The engine on his left side caught fire. People in the Phulwari Sharif area saw smoke rising from the flying plane, then immediately called the district administration and informed them. DM has told that as soon as the information was received, the administration took immediate action and informed the airport administration. Then the flight landed back at Patna airport.
