Strong storm in Doon, altered weather in Uttarakhand, Gangotri-Yamunotri highway closed

In Uttarakhand, the weather has changed. The state is still experiencing significant snowfall and rain, from the hills to the plains. In the late evening of yesterday, April 20, there was tremendous rain and thunder in Dehradun, along with a thunderstorm. Many locations experienced power outages as a result of the intense storm and rain, and there were reports of poles and trees falling around. On Tuesday, Dehradun's high temperature was 37.5 degrees Celsius.

In Uttarkashi district headquarters and the neighbouring areas, it rained overnight. Here, the weather cleared on Friday, and the sun was in full bloom. Near Helgu Gad, stones and debris have obstructed the Gangotri National Highway. A boulder that is approaching Kisala has obstructed the Yamunotri National Highway.
