Anti erosion work done, still houses in danger

Villagers told that under the flood relief work, three months ago, crores of rupees were spent for anti-erosion work for about 700 to 800 meters by putting geo bags with the help of elephants. At that time the local villagers had opposed putting the Jio Bag. Villagers said that they had said at that time that working up to 700-800 square feet in the grip of floods would not do it. It will flow in the strong current of the Ganges, but the officials did not agree. After spending crores of rupees, a Jio bag was installed, which got absorbed in the Ganges within two and a half to three months.
