After bringing along uncle Shivpal Yadav, now Akhilesh's entire focus is on the Yadav vote bank and is making a strategy by connecting directly with Yadavland.

Akhilesh Yadav joined his uncle Shivpal Yadav before the Mainpuri by-election and conducted a door-to-door campaign after evaluating the harm caused over the previous few years. Akhilesh is currently developing a new plan and communicating directly with the youth of every village in Yadavland to make future plans.

In Uttar Pradesh, the Yadav community, which makes up 20% of the OBC community overall, accounts for about 8% of the electorate. The Yadav community was so intensely mobilised following the Mandal Commission that it ended up constituting the majority of SP supporters.
