TMC leaders protest in front of Amit Shah's residence, demand to meet him

Trinamool Congress, today headed to Delhi regarding the attack on its leaders in Tripura and arrest of its leaders in fake cases.They asked for time to meet the Union Home Minister Amit Shah but on being denied the same, they started protesting in front of Home minister’s residence. 

TMC MP said that time has not been allotted by the Home Minister. Our leaders are being killed in Tripura. Our general secretary didn’t receive the permission to carry out protest. 

Other MPs said that Union Minister for Home affairs has not given time to allow them for meeting while democracy is being killed in Tripura.  

Derek O’Brien tweeted, “Mr @AmitShah Home Minister, Sir. Brutal attacks on @AITCofficial. Even members of  media clobbered in Tripura. Unprecedented attacks. Arrests on trumped-up charges. 16 Trinamool MPs have reached Delhi. Sir, please do give us an appointment this morning. Patiently waiting.

TMC leader Sayani Ghosh was arrested on Sunday from Tripura under the attempt to murder charges. She was taken into custody 24 hours before the visit of TMC General secretary Abhishek Banarjee and was later arrested.
