Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has signed a contract with the Mauritius government to export the advanced version of the Advanced Light Helicopter also called ALH Mark III. This will boost defence exports to friendly foreign countries. Mauritius already operates HAL-built ALH and Do-228 aircraft.

On Wednesday, The Union Cabinet approved the extension of the National Commission for Safai Karamcharis (NCSK) for three years with effect from April 1 this year. The commission was established in 1993 as per the provisions of the NCSK Act till March 31, 1997
