1. How many thousand crore rupees AK-203 assault rifle deal has been approved by the Defense Ministry with Russia?

The Defense Ministry has approved the AK-203 assault rifle deal with Russia worth Rs 5 thousand crores. Under this deal, seven and a half lakh rifles will be produced in a factory in Amethi, Uttar Pradesh. This rifle will replace the INSAS rifles used by the Indian Army for several decades. Indian Army needs 7.50 lakh AK-203 assault rifles. INSAS rifle without magazine and bayonet also weighs 4.15 kg. Whereas, the weight of AK-203 is 3.8 kg. The length of the INSAS rifle is 960 mm, whereas, the AK-203 is only 705 mm.

2. Which two other countries have agreed with the UAE on regional cooperation to tackle the climate crisis?

More recently, an agreement has been signed between Israel, Jordan, and the UAE for mutual regional cooperation to deal with the climate crisis arising in their region. Under this agreement, emphasis will be given to the adoption of green energy options. Israel's Energy Ministry said in a statement that Israel, Jordan, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have signed a 'historic' agreement for regional cooperation in the fight against the climate crisis. The agreement will enable a joint response to the challenges of the climate crisis as well as to energy security and water supply in the region.

3. NASA's Laser Communications Relay Demonstration (LCRD) will be launched on which date?

NASA's Laser Communications Relay Demonstration (LCRD) will be launched on 4th December 2021, after a delay of two years. It will be launched into space on a United Launch Alliance Atlas V rocket during the Space Test Program Satellite-6 (STPSat-6) mission by the Department of Defense. This mission will be launched from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida. It will benefit the "Artemis manned moon-landing mission" which is to be launched in the year, 2025. The plan for this laser mission was approved in the year 2011.
