A goods train derailed on Monday at Korei railway station in Odisha's Jajpur district. At least two people died in this accident and some others were seriously injured. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav also expressed grief towards those who lost their lives in this accident and their families. The minister announced an ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh each for the next of kin of the victims. Rs 2 lakh for the seriously injured, Rs 25 thousand for the lightly injured. At present, the operation of trains is being affected due to the obstruction of both the lines. Passengers of the train station are waiting in the waiting room after the derailment. The station is on Bhadrak-Kapilas Road railway section under Khurda Road railway division of East Coast Railway (ECoR).
