The earthquake has caused severe devastation in Turkey and Syria. So far more than 4 thousand people have died. More than 15 thousand people are injured. 5.6 thousand houses and buildings have been completely destroyed. In this hour of difficulty, India has come forward to help Turkey. On the orders of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India is sending immediate help to Turkey. India announced to send NDRF rescue team, medicines and medical team to Turkey immediately. Turkey has thanked wholeheartedly for this help of India in bad times.

In a statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office, it was said that on the instructions of PM Modi, PM's Chief Secretary PK Mishra called an important meeting to send immediate help to Turkey. It was decided in the meeting that relief material would be sent to Turkey as soon as possible. Two teams of NDRF have left for Turkey, which includes 100 jawans including special dog squad. A medical team of skilled doctors and paramedics is also involved in this.
