UP Assembly Election 2022: What is the opinion of voters on Balrampur Sadar seat

In the Balrampur Sadar safe assembly seat of the district, popularly known as Chhoti Kashi, there is a lot of agitation about the election struggle. Due to the voting in the sixth phase on March 3, no political party has opened its address so far. In the elections from 1974 to 2017, the people here have given a chance to the candidates of all the parties.

Congress has won the seat 4 times while Janata Party and BJP has won 1 and 3 times respectively. SP has also been established here 3 times. And BSP has also been seen here 1 time. 

In 2017, Paltu Ram of Bharatiya Janata Party won the seat by defeating Shivlal from Indian National Congress with a margin of 24860 votes.Balrampur Assembly constituency is falling under Katihar Lok sabha constituency. In 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Janata Dal (United) candidate Dulal Chandra Goswami won from Katihar Lok Sabha (MP) Seat with the margin of 57203 votes by defeating Shah Tariq Anwar from Indian National Congress. 

The Balrampur elections will take place on 3rd March, 2022 in the 6th Phase.
