Due to the torrential rains, there were reports of wall collapse from three places, in which 7 people including 4 children have died, 4 children are brothers and sisters. Three brothers and a sister are among the dead, this accident is from Chandrapura village of Civil Line area.
The deceased children are Sikku (10), Abhi (8), Sonu (7) and Aarti (5). Villagers told that all the children were orphans, their parents had died two years ago. The five siblings were living with their 75-year-old grandmother Sharda Devi. A brother and grandmother who were injured in the accident are being treated in the hospital.
Giving information about the incident, Etawah District Officer Avnish Rai said that due to continuous heavy rains in Etawah, four brothers and sisters were buried under the debris of the wall in village Chandrapura of Police Station Civil Line area.
The information of the incident was received at around 3:30 pm, on which Etawah SSP Jaiprakash Singh and administrative officials immediately reached the district hospital to know the well being of the injured grandmother and child. Due to incessant rains, everyone in the district has been alerted. Apart from this, Avnish Rai said that according to the rules, assistance will be given.
A case of collapse of an under construction wall has also come to light in Gorakhpur, UP. According to the information, an under construction roof of Islamia College in Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh collapsed. Two people were buried under the rubble. Rescue operation is on. SP Gaurav Grover said, 'As soon as we got the information about the incident, immediately the police team, fire service team, NDRF and SDRF team reached here and started the rescue operation. Two people were buried under the debris.
