UP: Waqf Board is on the 3rd number in the matter of land, Army on the first, Railway on the second

After the survey of madrasas in Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath's government has ordered an inquiry into Waqf properties. In this regard, a letter has been sent to all the divisional commissioners and district magistrates by issuing a mandate.

During the Waqf Board Survey, complete information about the properties of the Waqf Board will have to be provided. The intention of the Yogi Government behind this is to stop the illegal occupation and sale of Waqf property. According to the order, Shia and Sunni Waqf Boards will be investigated in all the districts of the state in UP.

Illegal occupation of many Waqf properties

barren and Bhita land is registered in Waqf. Many waqf properties have also been illegally occupied. Some properties are also being misused. The government has sought a report from all the districts by October 20 regarding the survey of madrasas. There have also been allegations of possession of waqf properties in places like Rampur, Saharanpur and Bareilly. Complaints have been lodged continuously with the Waqf Board regarding the possession of the land. Mazars or mosques have been built on many waqf properties.

Complete investigation in one month

According to the order, Shia and Sunni Waqf Boards will be investigated in all the districts of the state in UP. Along with this, the government has given instructions to all the districts to complete the investigation in one month, revoking the mandate of the Revenue Department in the year 1989.
