Uproar in Chhattisgarh, farmers vandalized police vehicles on demand of paddy purchase center

Additional Superintendent of Police Kabirdham Chandresh Singh Thakur says that farmers are protesting in Dhurvaguri demanding opening of paddy procurement centre. They got agitated over the matter of leaving one end of the road. Due to which the police vehicles were also damaged due to stone pelting. During this, some jawans have also been injured.

It may be noted that on November 7, the farmers had given an application to the Chief Secretary-Collector Gariaband to run the society operating in Bhojipadar in the name of Primitive Caste Service Cooperative Society 1643 Kandekela in the public darshan at Kandekela and also to open paddy procurement center in Kandekela. At the same time, in the event of non-fulfilment of the demand, he had also warned of fierce road jam in Dhurvaguri.

Farmers announced blocking of National Highway

The farmers have announced to block the National Highway even today. In view of the apprehension of an uproar, a large number of police personnel are being deployed there. The villagers accused the police on Monday that in the name of removing the chakka jam, the police had beaten the farmers with sticks. He alleges that many women have also been hurt in the police action. Some local people present on the spot told that some farmers are gathering on the National Highway.
