UPSC Topper Success Stories:
UPSC Civil Services 2020 Result was declared recently and Jagriti Awasthi from Bhopal secured the AIR 2 in the Union Public Service Commission examination. Jagriti shares that the credit for her success goes to her brother Dr. Suyash Awasthi as well as her parents. Suyash, who has done MBBS, gave Jagriti the courage to leave the job of BHEL and supported her all the time in the preparation of UPSC.
Jagriti, the daughter of a homeopathic doctor resident of Shivaji Nagar, Bhopal, worked at Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) in 2017 for 2 years after taking an electrical engineering degree from MANIT. Jagriti tried her luck in the UPSC exam for the first time in June 2019, however, didn’t get success but her intentions were strong.
Jagriti shares that she took the decision to leave engineering and prepare for the UPSC exam with concentration as she always wanted to do something for society. Jagriti aspires to bring such a change in society so that whenever she reaches some point after thirty-forty years, people will say that she brought about a big change in society.
Jagriti shared that in the initial month, she used to study for eight to ten hours, but it gradually increased to en to twelve hours of study with full concentration for each day. While during the exam time, Jagrati used to study for about 12 to 14 hours to give her best at the UPSC CSE Exam.
Jagriti told that she wishes to work in the field of rural development, women empowerment, and child development, and that’s the only reason she took up UPSC even after both father and brother were doctors. Jagriti's father Dr. Suresh Chand Awasthi is a professor in the Government Homeopathy College told that Jagriti has been good at studies from the very beginning.
