Varanasi Boat Accident: Boat filled with 34 tourists drowned in Ganga river, two in critical condition

A major accident took place in Varanasi this morning when a boat full of South Indian tourists drowned in the Ganges. It is a matter of relief that all have been evacuated. The condition of the two is said to be serious.  There was a hue and cry on the spot due to the sinking of the boat in the Ganges. After the scream, the police and rescue team along with the local sailors also reached the spot.

Accident due to lack of administration

As soon as the administration came to know about this accident in the morning, the hands and feet of the police administration swelled. This accident has happened due to the laxity of the district administration and the action of the boatmen. Police said that the incident took place in Varanasi at around 7 am on Saturday. After this accident there was an outcry at Ahilyabai Ghat in Varanasi. After the accident, the boatman, who followed the norms, fled from the spot. The police is now preparing to register a case in this matter.

Boatman left the boat and ran away

According to local boatmen, all the passengers are residents of Kerala in South India. Whereas after this accident, the sailor escaped. At present, the police are present on the spot and along with the investigation, they are looking for the sailor. A person told that the boatman took more than 30 passengers from Kerala in the boat, after which the boat got filled with water. During this the boatman left the boat and ran away.
