The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has launched the country's first private rocket Vikram-S from Sriharikota. This rocket has been made by Skyroot Aerospace. It was named after India's prominent scientist Vikram Sarabhai. Union Minister Jitendra Singh was also present during its launching. This first mission of Skyroot Aerospace is named 'Prarambh', which has three consumer payloads. According to ANI, Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh said that this is indeed a new beginning, a new dawn and a new initiative in the journey of India's space programme. This is a turning point for India to develop its own rockets and a turning point in India's startup movement.
This mission has proved to be an important milestone for Skyroot. Because it has recognized 80 percent of the technologies that have been used in the Vikram-1 orbital vehicle. An MoU was signed between Skyroot Company and ISRO regarding rocket launching. At the same time, there are three payloads with Vikram S rocket, in which one is from a foreign customer.
