Vir Das Biography: The Indian comedian, actor and comedy musician Vir Das is currently in a lot of controversy for his recent monolog ‘Two Indias’ which he recited on the stage of Kennedy Center in US. It's not the first time that he got himself into backlash and controversy due to his work and performances. Yet he is one of the fearless comedians who stands by his words. Vir Das is not only known for his stand-up comedy but also a known actor and has been seen in many hindi films including Delhi Belly, Badmaash Company and Go Goa Gone. He was even seen in Netflix special Abroad Understanding released in 2017.

Till Date, Das has performed in more than 35 plays, over 100 stand-up comedy shows, 18 films, eight TV shows and six comedy specials. He has also written comedy columns for Femina, Maxim, Exotica, DNA and Tehelka. Not only in Bollywood or Hindi series, he has his roots of work internationally. He made his international debut with the American television series, Whiskey Cavalier.
Vir Das Birth and Education
Born on mAY 31, 1979 Vir Das hails from Dehradun, India. He was brought up in Nigeria and even did half of his studies from Indian Language School in Lagos, Nigeria. Later he completed his schooling from the Lawrence School, Sanawar and Delhi Public School.
Das completed his graduation in Economics and Theatre with a concentration in performance from Knox College, Galesburg, Illinois. Later he was accepted into the Stanislavsky Program of the Moscow Arts Theatre and completed higher education.
Vir Das Wife
Vir Das dated Shivani Mathur for five years and the couple got married in October 2014.
Vir Das Career
After completing his education in Theaters, Vir Das made his career debut as a host. He hosted two TV shows on Zoom channel named ‘Is Route Ki Sabhin Linein Maast Hain’ and stand-up comedy late night show ‘Ek Rahin Vir’. he also hosted Top Drive - Getaway for Star World.
