Several persons, including a police officer, were shot near the location of a Juneteenth music concert in Washington, DC. At a music event on U Street Northwest in Washington, DC, barely less than 2 miles from the White House, multiple people were shot. The search for the culprit is underway.
DC Police Department said a minor is feared dead, while three others sustained injuries.
Addressing a pressre, Washington DC police said, “1 juvenile at this point, it appears, is dead. 2 other civilians and 1 police officer are injured. They are recovering.”
Several people were shot, including one police officer, during a shooting on U Street, according to a Metropolitan Police Department spokesperson.
Officials can be seen treating many persons who are lying on the street in a video from the scene of the incident.

DC Police Union in a tweet confirmed that a police officer was shot during the shooting.
"We can confirm that one of our members working in the area of 14th and U St NW has been shot. The member has been transported to the hospital and is in stable condition," it said in a tweet.
On May 24, a mass shooting occurred at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, in which multiple people were killed, including 19 children. This was the deadliest attack since the 17-person massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, in 2018.
