New Delhi: At the moment no relief from winters in North India as the cold wave continues in all Northern states. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the cold wave will prevail in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh, Delhi-NCR, for the next 3-4 days. Indian Meteorological Department also stated that the minimum temperature is likely to drop by 3-5 degrees during the next 5 days over North-West and Central India.
The Meteorological Department has forecast moderate rains in northern parts of Punjab, parts of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha and some parts of Northeast India between January 27 and 28. Andaman and Nicobar Islands may also receive rain in the next 5 days. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for heavy rain and snowfall in the hilly areas.Due to heavy snowfall in some parts of Jammu and Kashmir, 2 national highways and 147 roads have been closed.
