In Delhi, the winter is chilling. The hands and feet are melting, the sky is bright, and there is no fog, but the next two days will be troubled by the cold wave. According to the Meteorological Department, Delhi's temperature on January 17–18 could stay between 1-2 degrees. Tomorrow, the cold wave will get worse.
The Indian Meteorological Department reports that this morning's temperatures at Safdarjung and Lodhi Road were both 1.4 degrees Celsius. According to IMD expert Rajendra Jenamani, the absence of fog in Delhi-NCR is attributed to the clear sky. Sunny weather prevails today. In such a case, it is impossible to compare the current state with the previous cold wave. Delhi only experiences cold waves at night and in the morning.
The temperature in northwest and central India may drop by 2 to 3 degrees during the course of the next 24 hours, causing cold wave conditions in some additional areas of Rajasthan and parts of Haryana, according to weather forecasting organisation Skymet. Karnataka's interior and some areas of Himachal Pradesh can also experience cold waves. The Western Himalayas' ongoing rain and snow activities will end, and light rain and snow may fall in Arunachal Pradesh.
