Weather Update: Delhi NCR may get more rain, these states are on orange alert

Given how the heat had affected March, it appeared that the current weather would not be pleasant. Yet many states, including Delhi-NCR, have experienced a change in the weather. The capital's weather will shift concurrently during the course of the following two to three days. Hail could occur along with rain.

The Meteorological Center has issued a hailstorm alert for Uttar Pradesh, covering Lucknow, Agra, Rae Bareli, Barabanki, Banda, Etah, Fatehpur, Ambedkarnagar, Goda, Kaushambi, and Fatehpur including Unnao, Kanpur. The next two days may have similar weather, according to the Meteorological Department. The weather will change somewhat after March 24. The heat can start to trouble people once more after March 24.

Today's forecast from the meteorological department calls for rain in Delhi. About this, an orange alert has been issued. The base station at Safdarjung recorded very little rain earlier on Sunday—0.8 mm as opposed to 2.9 mm on Saturday. Sunday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm saw hail and torrential rain in Palam and Ayanagar. Ayanagar recorded 39.6 mm of rain, compared to 30.4 mm at Palam.
