According to the Meteorological Department, for the next three days from January 5 to 7, outbreak of cold wave may continue in some areas of the capital. During this time the minimum temperature can be recorded around 4 degrees. Fog will also prevail with the cold wave. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for fog and cold wave between January 5 and 7.
A senior Met department official said cold wave and cold day conditions are likely to continue for the next 24 to 48 hours. After this there will be some improvement under the influence of a new Western Disturbance. Yellow alert is also going on for this purpose.
