Weather Update: Delhi, UP and more states to face severe heatwave and loo in coming days- Watch Video

Weather Update Today: Many states of the country are facing severe heat these days. In states like Gujarat, Delhi, and UP, the temperature will remain above 40 degrees. Heatwave conditions may persist in many states including Gujarat, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Rajasthan. The sky will remain clear in Delhi NCR today. According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature in Delhi today is likely to be 24 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature will be 42 degrees Celsius.

Heatwave conditions will prevail in Delhi from April 28 again and the maximum temperature is likely to reach 44 degrees Celsius. There was a possibility of rain and snow due to the active western disturbances in Himachal Pradesh three times last week, but due to the absence of clouds, Himachal got no rainfall. 

Now the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of an active western disturbance in Himachal from April 28. The scorching sun is creating problems for the people of Uttarakhand amid the dry season. According to IMD, due to the active western disturbance, there may be light rain at isolated places in the mountainous areas on Tuesday.

Heatwave in these states

According to Skymet Weather, today heatwave conditions are possible in some parts of Gujarat, Bihar, North Madhya Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Interior Odisha, Rajasthan and South Uttar Pradesh.

Heavy Rain Likely in these states

According to Skymet Weather, light to moderate rain with isolated heavy rains may occur over Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh. Light to moderate rain may occur over parts of Northeast India, Sikkim, Kerala, South Coastal Karnataka and Interior Tamil Nadu. Light rain is possible at one or two places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands, North Coast of Andhra Pradesh, South Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and Western Himalayas.
