The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for four consecutive days. On Tuesday, the maximum temperature in Delhi was 16.1 degrees Celsius, three notches below normal. Earlier on December 26, it was recorded 15.6 degree Celsius, which was the coldest day of the season. On Tuesday, the minimum temperature was one degree above normal at 8.5 degrees Celsius.
Moderate to dense fog is also expected to affect the visibility level on Tuesday. The Meteorological Department says that a mild western disturbance is moving towards Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. Due to this, there may be snowfall again in the hilly areas. Snowfall will cause a fall in the temperature in the plains of the country.
