India Weather report: In many areas of the nation, the monsoon season has taken an intense form. It is pouring heavily in many parts of the country. Due to the amount of rain, many states of the country are experiencing flooding-like conditions. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning for today's heavy rain across Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Madhya Pradesh (MP). In the ensuing 24 hours, several areas of Goa, West Bengal, and Sikkim may experience severe rain. There has been an uproar in Jammu and Kashmir's Kargil due to the influx from the mountain region
Due to the recent heavy rains, there are flood-like conditions in a majority of regions of the country, including Rajasthan, Assam, Odisha, Gujarat, and Maharashtra. The rivers and streams are overflowing. Thousands of people have been impacted as a result of flooding invading residential areas. Once again, Assam saw significant rainfall in many locations. Heavy rains in several Guwahati areas have left the roads severely flooded as well.
Given the torrential rains that have caused the roads to get obstructed, Jodhpur is currently experiencing severe traffic jams. Due to the flood, even a car was seen being swept away in the water. Flood-like conditions are present in several states, jeopardising both human life and property.
However, in Uttar Pradesh, the severe rains have wrecked havoc on people's lives. Uttar Pradesh is currently experiencing cats and dogs, and it is expected that this condition will continue for the rest of the week. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, several areas of Uttar Pradesh have received rain warnings. IMD additionally has issued an orange alert in light of the circumstances.
