Weather Update: IMD gives information on when the monsoon will come

The people have been worried by the intense heat in the nation.We must now wait for the monsoon. Despite a minor delay, the southwest monsoon is expected to arrive in Kerala by June 4, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). Kerala typically experiences the southwest monsoon on June 1 with a standard variance of roughly 7 days. "Over Kerala, the southwest monsoon is starting a little later this year. On June 4, monsoon onset over Kerala is anticipated to be delayed by 4 days, according to a statement from the forecast office.

Kerala saw an early monsoon last year. The IMD said last month that India is expected to receive normal rainfall during the southwest monsoon season despite El Nino conditions. The India Meteorological Department on Tuesday said the heatwave conditions in the first fortnight of May were less severe due to western disturbances affecting parts of northwest India. The next Western Disturbance is approaching Northwest India.
