Weather Update Today: Monsoon has become active once again. It is raining heavily in many states of the country. Heavy rains are being seen in the southern states from Maharashtra to Karnataka. At the same time, the rain continues in the states of North India including Delhi-NCR. The Meteorological Department has predicted light to moderate rain activities in many states of North India including Delhi for the next few days. On Monday, there is a possibility of cloudy sky in many areas of Punjab and light rain at some places. According to the Meteorological Department, light rain may occur in some districts of Punjab till August 9.

According to Skymet Weather, light to moderate rain with isolated heavy rain may occur at parts of Odisha, Chhattisgarh, parts of Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, southeast and south Rajasthan, and Gujarat today. Light to moderate rain is possible over Kerala, parts of Jharkhand, West Bengal, Northeast India, Lakshadweep, Interior Karnataka, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. Light rain is possible over parts of Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Haryana, Punjab, Delhi and North Rajasthan. According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon has once again become active in the entire Madhya Pradesh, due to which there is a possibility of heavy rains in Indore, Bhopal, Gwalior, Ujjain and Narmadapuram divisions in the next 24 hours.
Delhi and adjoining areas will remain cloudy throughout the day on Monday. There may be light rain and some drizzle at some places. The maximum temperature is 33 and the minimum temperature is expected to be around 26 degrees. After this, there will be a break on monsoon for three to four days. The weather will remain dry during this period. Scorching heat is likely to increase.
