Latest Weather Update: It is raining heavily in many states of the country. Due to the rain in Delhi-NCR for the last two days, normal life has been disturbed. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert in 17 states of the country today i.e. on Friday. According to IMD, on September 23, strong wind in Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, parts of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Sikkim, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. With this, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain at some places and heavy rain at some places. A yellow alert has been issued by the Meteorological Department in these states. Heavy rain may occur in UP, Uttarakhand, parts of Madhya Pradesh and Delhi-NCR today.
Heavy rains in parts of Delhi-NCR for two consecutive days have wreaked havoc. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has issued a rain warning even today. In view of the heavy rains, it has been decided to keep schools closed in many cities of UP including Noida. Apart from this, by issuing advisory to private institutions in Gurugram, today all employees have been asked to instruct work from home.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain in many districts of Uttar Pradesh for the next two days. IMD has issued an alert for UP till 25 September. In view of the heavy rains, the administration has ordered closure of schools in many districts. Weather In UP, this rain caused waterlogging in many low-lying areas of the city and rural areas, affecting normal life. Western Uttar Pradesh also received rain and thundershower at most places.
