Weather Update Today: The people of Delhi, who have been facing severe heat and the last several days, can feel some relief for the next one week. Weather is going to change in the national capital and clouds, thunderstorm, drizzle will continue for the next seven days.

On Friday there is a possibility of a partly cloudy sky with wind speed reaching 20 to 30 kmph. While the temperature will be between 44 to 29 degrees. There is a possibility of a dust storm with a wind speed of 30 to 40 kilometres per hour on Saturday. Light rain may also occur during this time. This will bring down the temperature and end the heatwave in the capital.
Pre-monsoon activity will be evident in form of thunderstorms and winds over Delhi, Uttarakhand and West Uttar Pradesh on May 25. An East-West Trough is extending from North Rajasthan to Bihar and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, passing through Haryana, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh between May 20 and 25. This feature will elevate the pre-monsoon activity over the Gangetic plains across India during this period.
According to the Meteorological Department, conditions are becoming favourable for further advance of the Southwest Monsoon into some more parts of South and Central Bay of Bengal and some parts of the South Arabian Sea during the next 48 hours. A Cyclonic Circulation lies over North Interior Tamil Nadu and the adjoining region. A turf line extends from Northeast Madhya Pradesh to Interior Tamil Nadu via Vidarbha, Marathwada and Interior Karnataka. A Cyclonic Circulation is persisting over the East Central parts of Rajasthan. A Western Disturbance is over Jammu and Kashmir and the adjoining region. An East-West Turf Line is running from North West Rajasthan to West Assam passing through South Uttar Pradesh, South Bihar and Sub Himalayan West Bengal.
