Weather Update: Know when the monsoon will enter the country, Normal drizzle expected

Weather Update: Continuously changing weather patterns in India has become a major concern. Unpredictable weather conditions have caught people off guard in various parts of the country, with scorching sun and heavy rains alternating unexpectedly. Amidst the sweltering heat, people eagerly await the arrival of the monsoon. According to the Meteorological Department's forecast, the monsoon is expected to arrive on June 4 this year, starting with the South Andaman Sea and Nicobar Islands. However, the department has shared concerning information regarding the monsoon. They anticipate a slight delay in its onset this year, as per their reports.

Monsoon update

The latest update from the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) indicates that a normal monsoon is expected across the country this year, with an estimated annual rainfall of 96%. This is the initial forecast by the IMD for the 2023 monsoon season, with the second estimate set to be released in May. The department mentions the possible influence of El Niño during the monsoon period. Typically, the monsoon reaches Kerala around June 1, followed by its active presence in Tamil Nadu, the Bay of Bengal, and the Konkan region until June 15.
