According to the Meteorological Department, today i.e. on October 31, heavy rain may occur in many South Indian states. IMD has issued an orange alert in view of heavy rains in Tamil Nadu. At the same time, a yellow alert has been issued in Andhra Pradesh, Puducherry and Kerala. Northeasterly winds have intensified over the Bay of Bengal and Northeast Monsoon will start soon. With this, the rain activities will gradually increase over the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh and many parts of Tamil Nadu from November 1. Due to the influence of cyclonic winds forming over North India, rain may occur at some places over Punjab, Haryana and Northwest Uttar Pradesh. Light rain is also possible in Delhi. According to IMD, Northeast Monsoon rains have started over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala and adjoining areas of Karaikal and Andhra Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has predicted various levels of rain in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala and parts of Karnataka till November 2. Today there is a possibility of heavy rain in these states. In view of heavy rains, an orange alert has been issued in some states and a yellow alert has been issued in others. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of heavy rain for the next 3 days in some states of South India.
