In Delhi-NCR, there was relief from the sweating heat for the last one week from Thursday morning. The sun disappeared as clouds covered the sky. Due to strong winds, there was a respite from the scorching heat.According to the forecast of the Meteorological Department, strong winds will blow at a speed of 25 to 35 kmph on Thursday. Light rain or drizzle may occur in some areas. This can increase the temperature. The maximum and minimum temperatures may remain at 35 and 28 degree Celsius respectively.
The clouds in the sky did not allow the rays of the sun to reach the ground. This lasted till 12 noon. The women who came out of their homes tying rakhi on the wrists of their brothers got jam on the roads, but they got relief due to lack of strong sunlight. The Meteorological Department has forecast that the temperature will increase once again from Saturday.
