Weather Update Today: News of relief for the people of Delhi-NCR facing scorching heat. The weather pattern has changed in Delhi-NCR. On the intervening night of Wednesday-Thursday, there was heavy rain in many areas of Delhi-NCR. With this, the pre-monsoon rains have started.

According to the news agency ANI, along with many areas of Delhi like Connaught Place, which is called the heart of Delhi, also received rains. It is being told that it rained in Delhi-NCR for about 4 hours.

Rain on Thursday

According to meteorologists, there was light rain at some places on Wednesday night due to western disturbances and easterly winds in the adjoining areas along with Delhi-NCR.  to Meteorological Department said that this process of relief due to incessant rains will According continue for the next four-five days i.e. till June 20. Due to this the mercury will come down rapidly by 7 degrees.  

Delhi and its adjoining NCR region received good rain from around 11 pm to 3 pm. Rain accompanied by strong winds brought down the mercury. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, the weather is expected to be pleasant for the next few days due to western disturbances and easterly winds. Scattered thunderstorms or light rain may occur. Pre-monsoon activities have started in Delhi NCR. Meanwhile, the monsoon can also knock, so now there is less chance of mercury rising.

Alert issued regarding rain in many states

While issuing a red alert for Assam and Meghalaya, the Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rain activity in the north eastern states till June 17. Let us inform that the IMD has issued a red alert for heavy rains till June 17 for these states. Heavy rains are already occurring at many places in Assam and Meghalaya. In addition to the red alert for Assam and Meghalaya for Thursday and Friday, the IMD has issued an orange alert for Arunachal Pradesh till June 17.
