Weather Update Today: It rained heavily in Delhi-NCR on Friday. This is the second consecutive day that the day has started with rain in Delhi-NCR. Earlier on Thursday also, there was rain with strong winds in the areas of Delhi and Noida. This has given relief to the people from the scorching heat and heat wave. The Meteorological Department, while issuing an orange alert for Friday in the capital Delhi, has expressed the possibility of strong winds in addition to moderate rain and thundershowers.

According to the Meteorological Department, today there will be rain in many other states of the country with thunder and strong wind. According to Skymet Weather, light to moderate rain is possible over Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and parts of Delhi and NCR. Light rain is possible over North and East Rajasthan, parts of Gujarat and West MP.

According to Skymet Weather, moderate to heavy rains may continue over Northeast India, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim today. Light to moderate rain with isolated heavy falls very likely over Odisha, parts of Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, Lakshadweep Lakshadweep and light to moderate rain at isolated places over Kerala. Light to moderate rain is possible over parts of Bihar, Jharkhand, Karnataka, parts of Tamil Nadu, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Vidarbha, Marathwada, Konkan and Goa.
