Weather Update Today: After three days of dense fog, there was some relief on Thursday. Earlier on Wednesday, there was fog in many areas of Delhi, but relatively light. Due to this, the level of visibility was also slightly better. Where the visibility was 25 to 50 meters on Tuesday, it was 400 to 500 meters on Wednesday. However, Wednesday (December 21) was the coldest day of the season.
According to the Meteorological Department, Palam airport recorded the lowest visibility of 400 meters at 2.30 am, while Safdarjung airport saw a drop of 500 meters at 5:30 am. The visibility level had dropped to 50 meters at both these places on Tuesday. On the other hand, the minimum temperature of Delhi was recorded at 7.1 degree Celsius, one degree below normal.
The maximum temperature settled at 21.1 degrees Celsius, a notch below normal, the lowest temperature of the season so far. Jaffarpur and Ridge areas were the coldest areas of Delhi with a maximum temperature of 17.0°C and a minimum temperature of 5.6°C.
According to the Meteorological Department, the sky will be clear on Thursday, while there will be dense fog in the morning. The maximum and minimum temperature is expected to be 21 and 6 degree Celsius respectively. The minimum and maximum temperature is expected to reach five degree Celsius and 20 degree Celsius in the next few days.
