The Western Disturbance is currently affecting North Gujarat and adjoining South-West Rajasthan. In addition to this, a trough extends from the South Konkan to the North of Maharashtra. As a result, over Central India and neighbouring West India throughout the next four days, light to moderate rain and hailstorm are expected in several locations, along with thunderstorms and gusty winds.
Rain and hail storms with strong winds are possible over East Rajasthan, Madhya Maharashtra, and Marathwada on March 6 and 7. This week is expected to be stormy in many parts of Rajasthan. As a result, the IMD has issued Yellow Alert in number of districts.
IMD reported that the maximum temperature in the last 24 hours ranged from 35 to 38 degrees Celsius in parts of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Jharkhand, and West Bengal. Temperatures in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Bihar ranged from 31 to 35 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and parts of the Northeast ranged from 28 to 31 degrees Celsius.
